6:00 PM to 8:30 PM

27 Cloister Ave, Ephrata, PA

Lots of people have been asking for our help on how to self-publish children's story books. This workshop focuses on how to write fun short stories and how to self-publish them. We will introduce computer programs that can help to publish your book (photoshop, gimp, indesign, etc) and teach you how to utilize those programs. In order to get the most out of this workshop, you must already have some basic computer knowledge and an understanding of how to use the Internet. Bring a laptop if you have one.

This workshop includes:

  • A story telling introduction
  • Which computer programs will help you best
  • How to get an ISBN number for your books
  • Where and how to self-publish online
  • How to advertise and market your book

Bring your imagination and let's take it on a journey into fairy tale writing with Art of Recycle's Art Director and children's book author Chelas Montanye. Learn how to jump start your imagination, how to keep on task with goals, how to move your idea into reality through programs such as photoshop and indesign. And the most important part, how to self publish your storybook online, and how to market and advertise it. Bring a notebook to take notes, bring a laptop if you have one.

Would you like to learn the full use of photoshop and Indesign? Take our photoshop and Indesign workshops!
