Make a difference in your community

It really does take a village to raise a child, and Art of Recycle plays a part in that village. Together we can help support children to reach maturity with self-confidence, critical thinking skills and the ethical and social guidance that will be needed to make tomorrow a better future for all.

There are a variety of everyday tasks that Art of Recycle

depends upon volunteers to perform.

Sweeping Floors

Stamping Wishing Paper

Pricing and Packaging Sales Items

Watering the Gardens

Restocking Craft Castle Items

Let's do this volunteer thing! Contact Art of Recycle to find out more details.

Art of Recycle's volunteer program is unique. We treat volunteerism as an educational tool rather than as an opportunity for free labor. Our staff is dedicated to finding tasks that are directed towards our volunteers educational and training needs and we place our focus on helping volunteers learn and develop and strengthen skills that they need assistance with.

Many of our volunteers are handicapped individuals who have difficulty maintaining jobs and finding suitable volunteer positions because of their special needs, but who are in need of a social environment where they can feel good about being a contributor to their community.

Art of Recycle has a Children's Volunteer Program where children as young as twelve years of age can contribute their time to the art center and the community we serve. This program allows children to gain training in job skills at an early age, assists them with learning social skills, and acts as an educational program in math skills, artistic creativity, and critical thinking. There is no cost to parents to enroll their children in this program, but enrolled children must be mature and able to follow instructions without behavioral issues.

Contact Art of Recycle to find out how your child can become involved in this summer day program.

Our Mission:

To develop, heal and grow community through recycled art.

We aim to inspire more art and assist artists in developing skills for art creation

by using and re-using the available resources around them.

Our objective is to teach people how to create "art with purpose"

reusing discarded, unwanted, and excess items; creating generations of

artists and crafters who are more environmentally conscious.
