Art of Recycle offers a variety of fun learning activities as part of our field trip programs for students, seniors and our special needs community. We are regularly adding new activities, check back often to see what’s happening. AoR is not accepting field trip requests at this time.

I spy with my little eyes and my little hands, lots of things from under the sea. From sharks teeth to ocean coral, AoR has a touch museum for curious ocean lovers. Play an I Spy game inside our Under the Sea Crafting Room. Paint with sea sponges and craft with sea shells.

Simple crafts made from recycled materials are great for youth clubs that are earning badges in recycling. Using scrap fabrics to create small indoor window flags is a great idea for a recycling craft. Flowers for spring, strawberries for summer, pumpkins for fall, and snowmen for winter.

Each crafter is given a small tin of buttons that are made from different materials. We will read the button box book that tells about the different types of buttons in Grandma’s button box. There will be a button craft after we explore the buttons. Each child takes their button box home with them.
